Arm extensions designed specifically for GitHub Copilot accelerate development on Arm-based platforms from the cloud to the edge side;
Arm Native Runner provides a seamless development experience for deploying cloud-native, Windows on Arm, and cloud-to-edge AI software;
The combination of GitHub Actions, native GitHub runners and Arm platform-based AI frameworks help simplify the AI application development and deployment process for 20 million developers worldwide.
By combining the Arm Compute Platform with the power of GitHub, the world's largest developer community, and its GitHub Copilot, Arm is leading a revolution in software development. With Copilot's AI code suggestions, developers can write, test and optimize code more efficiently on the Arm platform. By integrating Arm tools into GitHub Actions, developers can reduce costs and increase productivity while simplifying development tasks across applications, whether they are cloud-native web apps or AI solutions. This partnership will enable the 20 million developers of the Arm platform worldwide to leverage resources from the world's most widely used computing platform and largest developer community to make development faster, easier and more efficient.
GitHub Copilot Extensions: Simplifying Development on the Arm Architecture
Coming soon to the GitHub Marketplace, GitHub Copilot's Arm Extension will help developers build, test, and deploy software more efficiently to increase productivity and impact. The extension integrates select datasets and provides tools specifically developed for AI code, including code migration, containerization, CI/CD workflows, and performance optimization to ensure a seamless cloud-to-edge deployment experience. The extension is expected to go live by the end of this year.
Arm64 runners: building a faster, more seamless development experience
Earlier this year, GitHub announced the general availability of the Arm64 Linux and Windows Native Arm runners for GitHub Actions, simplifying the development process, reducing costs, and increasing speed for customers on GitHub's Team Edition and Enterprise Edition cloud plans. The Arm64 runners also improve the efficiency of AI workflows with popular AI frameworks such as PyTorch.
This week Arm attended the GitHub Universe Developer Conference to share how it is using GitHub Copilot and GitHub Actions to accelerate the development process from the cloud to the edge, helping developers improve performance, accelerate time-to-market, and minimize costs in their projects. In its journey to empower software developers, Arm is continually working to help developers achieve seamless, reliable, and secure end-to-end deployment, testing, and optimization in applications across different vectors, whether it's a large-scale cloud solution or a small, delicate sensor.
