Alternative Solutions Boost Automation Equipment Productivity and Efficiency
Universal Instruments and its parent company, Delta Electronics, a world-renowned supplier of industrial automation systems and a major global supplier of power and thermal management technologies, will be present at IPC APEX 2025, Booth #1305, from March 18–20, 2025, in Anaheim, California.
Both Universal Instruments and Delta will present a wide array of automation systems covering robotics, gantry equipment, and software, such as Universal Instruments' IQ360TM factory software package and Delta's Digital Twin virtual machine development platform. The equipment will include the affordable single-process OmniTM inserter, the flexible UflexTM automation platform, and the high-performance Fuzion2-37TM mounter from Universal Instruments. Additionally, a plug-and-play demonstration of Delta's D-Bot robot will be given.
By building virtual machines that use real-time data to simulate, anticipate, and optimize performance, Delta's Digital Twin software facilitates improved decision-making and increased efficiency. When the digital twin software is installed, production line front-end equipment can generate virtual environments and expedite the introduction of new products.
The full suite of smart factory management modules known as IQ360 Intelligent Smart Factory Software helps to regulate, track, and enhance production efficiency. The suite consists of the following modules: IQ360 Production Control, IQ360 Material Management, IQ360 Product Design and New Product Introduction, and IQ360 Monitoring and Analysis.
The Fuzion 2-37 is a very flexible bonder that can be used as a high-performance multifunctional solution, a flexible line balancer, or a standalone prototyping solution.
The Uflex can practically execute any automated operation because it can run a variety of processes and supports a wide range of feeders. With features including screw driving, UV curing, dispensing, vacuum or pneumatic positioning, and more, it can accommodate up to four separate cantilevers on a single gantry. The Omni Insertion Machine complements several process devices by increasing the operational efficiency of a single process device.
With its plug-and-play setup, sophisticated safety features, and ruggedized construction, Delta's D-Bot is a quick, accurate, and cooperative robotic solution that improves automation across a variety of application sectors. The D-Bot comes with user-friendly 3D software and achieves an accuracy of ±0.02mm.
"We are thrilled to present a variety of automation solutions that give our clients new options." Universal Instruments president Brad Bennett said. "Whether a manufacturer is automating for the first time, optimizing, or even completely revamping an existing process, we have the expertise and product portfolio to develop the most optimal solution for our customers." "Our goal is to help our customers take automation to the next level."
